Positive eco- impact
The polyester used to produce the VALFIBER fiber comes from the urban separate collection of rubbish. This enables the fiber to gain an additional important characteristic, that is the positive impact on the environment.
If we consider the whole life cycle of the product, beginning with the extraction of the raw material through the end of the use and the final recycling process, we notice that the product has an extremely low content of grey energy (products with high content of grey energy are the ones obtained from virgin raw material. These products use fossil resources).
Reseach and innovation
In addition to standard fibers with variable weight from 3 to 26 dtex, which are used for needlepunched products (high resistent fibres), high technological fibres have been obtained:
- Flame Retardant fibers with L.O.I. = 28
- Dustmite fibers
- Antibacterial fibers with bacteriostatic effect
- Black fibers
- Fluorescent fibers
- Phosphorescent fibers
In each of these fibers there is a intrinsic effect, which has been obtained by inserting the active principle in the macromolecules. Therefore it is permanent.
